Yachtsmen's Building - Information Center The Yachtsmen's Building, located at 18 Harbor Drive in Northeast Harbor, houses the visitor's center of The Mount Desert Chamber of Commerce. Here you will find friendly and helpful staff to assist you with your questions about our area along with brochures, guides and maps. Also located here are public restrooms and shower facilities including a handicap accessible shower, a lounge for rainy day reading or meeting new friends, high speed wireless internet service, and picnic tables for a "brown bag" breakfast or lunch overlooking the most scenic harbor on the island. Should you want a little exercise, two well maintained tennis courts are available to rent along with rackets and balls if needed. Most importantly we offer a giant helping of hospitality, hoping to insure your visit will be only one of many.
