DRIVING DIRECTIONS FROM INTERSTATE 95 North or South in Bangor, Maine: Exit onto I-395 - exit 182A from South/exit 182B from North (From Bangor International Airport take I-95 South) Follow I-395 towards US-1A/Ellsworth - Bar Harbor Exit 6A onto US-1A towards Ellsworth US-1A becomes RT 3 (at McDonald's) - go straight At entrance to Mount Desert Island go straight to RTS 102/198 To proceed to Somesville and/or Hall Quarry, Pretty Marsh: Straight through traffic light on RT 102 to Somesville Straight through traffic light on RT 102. Proceed through Somesville, turn left on Hall Quarry Road. Straight through traffic light on RT 102. Proceed through Somesville, turn right on Long Pond Road (at blinking light). To proceed to Northeast Harbor: At traffic light turn left on RT 198. Follow RT 198 all the way into Northeast Harbor. To proceed to Seal Harbor and/or Otter Creek: At traffic light turn left on RT 198. Follow RT 198 to RT 3. Left to Seal Harbor. Left to Otter Creek and follow RT 3 toward Bar Harbor. FROM BAR HARBOR AIRPORT in Trenton, Maine Exit airport left onto RT 3 and proceed as above. COMMERCIAL BUS PASSENGERS Disembark at Bar Harbor locations only. Passenger service to the towns of Mount Desert can be arranged by taxi or The Island Explorer bus service.
