MaineDOT Public Hearing
The Maine Department of Transportation will host a public hearing on its project at the head of Mount Desert Island. MDOT is planning to move the stoplight at the Parkacadia down Route 3 towards Bar Harbor as well as construct a new road between Route 3 and 102. The hearing will take place on April 2nd at the Mount Desert Elementary School in Northeast Harbor beginning at 6 PM.

American Legion Post 103 of Northeast Harbor invites the public to observe Memorial Day, Monday, May 26 The annual Memorial Day Parade leaves Mount Desert Elementary School at 10:30 a.m., and proceeds to Joseph Musetti Veterans Memorial Park, Northeast Harbor. Ceremonies will take place at the park following the band’s arrival. The speaker will be Rick Savage.

30th Annual Northeast Harbor Road Race

One of the true gems of road running left in the state of Maine. The Northeast Harbor Road Race is one of the oldest continuously held events held in the state. The beautiful point to point course follows Somes Sound along Sargeant Drive which is the only fjord in the eastern USA. All proceeds help support the Northeast Harbor Ambulance Service, Inc.
