The Mount Desert Chamber of Commerce and the Northeast Harbor Library will be sponsoring Meet the Candidates night for the Town of Mount Desert. Residents of the Town of Mount Desert are invited to have an opportunity to meet with the candidates for selectman and school board Monday, April 12, 2010, 6:30PM at the Neighborhood House in Northeast Harbor. William Ferm will serve as Moderator and accept questions from the audience so voters can have a better understanding of the candidate's positions prior to the town election Monday, May 3, 2010. Light refreshments and popcorn will be served.

Warrant Article Review Night
The Mount Desert Chamber of Commerce and the Northeast Harbor Library will be sponsoring Warrant Article Review Night for the Town of Mount Desert. Residents of the Town of Mount Desert are invited to have an opportunity to meet with representatives from the Warrant Committee and Board of Selectman to ask questions about items on the Town Warrant Tuesday, April 27, 2010, 6:30PM at the Neighborhood House in Northeast Harbor. Annual Town Meeting for the Town of Mount Desert
The Annual Town Meeting for the Town of Mount Desert will commence on Monday, May 3, 2010, 7:50 a.m. at the Somesville Fire House, 1157 Main Street, Somesville. Following the election of Moderator, the polls will be open from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. for voting on the election of officers. The open Town Meeting will resume at the Kelley Auditorium, Mount Desert Elementary School, 8 Joy Road, Northeast Harbor on Tuesday, May 4, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. Copies of the Town Report and Warrant are available at the Town Office. If you have any questions about the schedule for Annual Town Meeting and/or Elections, please call the Town Office at 276-5531.

Memorial Day Parade - Northeast Harbor
American Legion Post 103 of Northeast Harbor invites the public to observe Memorial Day, Monday, May 31 The annual Memorial Day Parade leaves Mount Desert Elementary School at 10:30 a.m., and proceeds to Joseph Musetti Veterans Memorial Park, Northeast Harbor. Ceremonies will take place at the park following the band’s arrival.
